✦ Synopsis
The mercury-based ferrite (Hg, Pr)Sr 4 Fe 2 O 9 is studied Synthesis by XRPD and HREM. The Hg 0.3 Pr 0.6 Sr 4 Fe 2 O 9 structure is confirmed as of ''0201-1201'' type and it is shown that the (Hg, Pr)Sr 4 Fe 2 O 9 compounds were prepared in a two ordering of Hg-Pr and its oxygen neighboring framework step procedure: first, appropriate mixtures of Fe 2 O 3 , takes place.

A new mercury-bismuth-based cuprate, Hgo.sBi0.sSr2Cat \_xNdxCu206+6 has been synthesized for x ranging from 0.35 to 1. The high-resolution electron microscopy and the X-ray diffraction analyses give evidence for a 1212-type structure, without any ordering between Hg and Bi. For 0.35 < x < 0.5, the s
