A strain carrying the ilv0603 mutation has been isolated in E. coli K-12 and its characteristics were found to be very similar to those previously reported by Ramakrishnan and Adelberg (1965a) for other ilv0 mutants. The strain carrying the ilv0603 mutation is resistant to valine inhibition (Valr) a
