We have built an aligned f6sHo nuclear target for studies of fundamental symmetries in neutron scattering. A feature of the target cryostat is a mechanism to rotate the target reproducibly to less than l/20 under computer control while the target is maintained below 0.3 K. We discuss the considerations of torsion and heat flow necessary to the design of the mechanism.
