detector for impact velocity measurements was developed and calibrated.

Measurements of particle density profiles, distribution of incident momentum flux on the pipe wall and the distribution of radial particle velocity over a cross section of a horizontal pipe in the established flow region in a pneumatic conveying system, were performed and compared with pressure loss data.
