✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A dual‐mode bandpass filter is proposed that is composed of a meandering resonator and a small rectangular loop for the purpose of perturbation. Both the length and width of the rectangular loop could control the dual‐mode resonant frequencies. A prototype filter is designed and fabricated with a center frequency of 2.45 GHz. The measured fractional bandwidth is 10.98%, insertion loss is 0.8 dB, and return loss is over 15 dB, which are in good agreement with the simulated results. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
