β¦ Synopsis
In recent years many powerful sequence transformations, mainly nonlinear methods, for increasing the rate and expanding the domain of the convergence of series (sequences) were designed. The program trans is a revised package of Maple functions for transforming symbolic and numerical series (sequences) as well as functions having formal series expansions. Each sequence transformation is performed using a special recursive algorithm. This approach yields more efficient programs compared to an implementation via the general extrapolation algorithm of Brezinski and HΓ’vie which contains many of the transformations as special cases. The new Maple package trans differs from the original (Comput. Phys. Commun. 59 (1990) 289) in efficiency, extended capabilities and revised notation.

Symmetric functions can be considered as operators acting on the ring of polynomials with coefficients in R. We present the package SFA, an implementation of this action for the computer algebra system Maple. As an example, we show how to recover different classical expressions of Lagrange inversion
We here summarize the analysis of 126 DNA samples from patients with hematopoietic neoplasias and solid tumors and from various tumor cell lines that were screened in the tumorigenicity assay. Thirty-eight samples were able to induce tumors after transfection in NIH/3T3 cells and injection into nude
## Calculations were carried out on the He isoelectromc series with a sunple, two-parameter -place transform kernel which has a non-exponential transform. Close to Hartree-Fock accuracy was obtained. A physically plausible criterion for selectrng kernels IS sven.
