The adsorption of oxygen on a Pd( 110) surface has been studied using in situ combined techniques of low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) and vibrational electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS). Changes in the adsorbed structure of oxygen with increasing exposure are discussed.
