An X-ray diffraction analysis of the 1 : 1 complex ofN, N'-dimethyl-N,N 'bis[2-(3-methylureido)pyrid-5-yl]urea (1) and a 1,3-bis(cytosyl)propane derivative (2a) revealed layered triply-hydrogen-bonded pairings. The conformation of 1 in the complex is similar to that in the crystal structure of 1 alone, with anti conformation of the two aromatic rings.
