The Si-Al-GN system has been thermodynamically reassessed due to the new model used for liquid in the AI@-SiO, binary system and new experimental data in the Al,O,AlN system. The p'-sialon phase is described by a new model, (Ap',Sil'), (@-,N3-MN'-)], and a set of new parameters was found to describe
