A job club conducted at a state hospital placed 78% of job seekers in competitive employment. Referrals included inpatient, halfway house, and outpatient clients. The results indicate that while client demographics and treatment histories are associated with different success rates, a majority of all client groups found work.
The job finding club developed by Azrin and his colleagues (Azrin, Flores, & Kaplan, 1975) and later variations on the model have been shown to be an effective way of helping a wide variety of job seekers obtained competitive employment.
