✦ Synopsis

Ž

. A hybrid artificial intelligent optimization HAIO method, which combines traditional classification pattern recognition Ž . Ž . CPR with artificial neural networks ANN , applied to industrial processes is presented. This new method includes the fuzzy membership function of sample class, the center cluster of class, a hopeful region, inverse mapping, independent neural net-Ž . work modeling of classified analogy, CPR-ANN, GA genetic algorithm -ANN and network-based expert system etc. Some applications of the HAIO are shown.

The filled function method is an effective approach to find a global minimizer. In this paper, based on a new definition of the filled function for nonsmooth constrained programming problems, a one-parameter filled function is constructed to improve the efficiency of numerical computation. Then a co

## Abstract We present a novel space–time Galerkin method for solutions of second‐order time‐dependent problems. By introducing the displacement–velocity relationship implicitly, the governing set of equations is reformulated into a first‐order single field problem with the unknowns in the velocity

## Abstract Energy minimization plays an important role in structure determination and analysis of proteins, peptides, and other organic molecules; therefore, development of efficient minimization algorithms is important. Recently, Morales and Nocedal developed hybrid methods for large‐scale uncons
