✦ Synopsis
An open anisotropic world model with a negative space curvature as suggested by HECRMANN and SCHUCKING is considered. The results of the analysis show that shear in such a model decreases as time increases, its magnitude varying reciprocally with the third power of the function R(t). Further, the red shift occurs not only due to expansion but also due to shear. 21 solution of the "generalized" FRIEDMANN equation is given and its asymptotic behaviour for both small arid large values of time is discussed.
