✦ Synopsis

Book Reviews an introductory course in numerical analysis is sufficient background for this text. When additional material is needed it is developed in the book itself. Moreover, because of the many references the course could easily be expanded and taught as a two-semester graduate course. Having taught from this book this reviewer feels that it is an excellent text for students of applied mathematics, computer science, and engineering.
