โœฆ Synopsis

The method of COLBUBN AND HOU~EN for the design of cooler-condensers is simplified by the use of a new graphical procedure for the determination of the liquid-gas interface conditions, by which trial and error computations are entirely eliminated. The design method is based on the application of a diagram of the logarithm of the noncondensing gas partial pressure versus the temperature. An example is given to illustrate the desip method. THE method of COLBURN and HOUGEN [l] for the design of cooler-condensers for saturated gas-vapor mixtures requires the point to point solution of the equation,
