โฆ Synopsis
ow many times have you been to a meeting, had a discussion with a colleague or come across an article that stimulated your thinking to the point that you just knew "this would work to improve my organization," but failed to follow through? What holds us back in these circumstances? Often we, as individuals, become overwhelmed by the multitude of tasks we face daily. We rationalize our action/inaction on these tasks by placing some into piles labeled "priorities" and setting aside others because of "resource limitations," "time constraints" and any number of other excuses that help explain why we tackle some tasks and not others.
This year is greater than half over, so it's a good time to measure our success in staying focused on ASHRM's vision of "Safe and Trusted Health Care."
While some goals still remain, it's remarkable that, despite resource limitations and time constraints, our vision remains clear.
