carrier and formation of a promotor bulk s u l p h i d e are a l a o conaidered. The apec i f i c a c t i v i t y f o r a given reaction, t h e amount of chemiaorbed oxygen and promotor e f f e c t are p r e d i c t e d and can be compared t o experimental results previously publiahed i n t h e l i t e r a t u r e by d i f f e r e n t authors. The qood f i t t i n g obtained put in evidence t h a t both HDS, hydrogenation and 02 chemiaorption involve t h e edge a l t e r (unpromoted o r promoted) of t h e patches. The model has a g e n e r a l c h a r a c t e r and may apply t o NOS o r WS2, promoted or unpromoted, aupported and unsupported h y d r o t r e a t i n g c a t a f y s t s .
