Pseudogenes are remnants of gene duplication (nonprocessed pseudogenes) and retrotransposition (processed pseudogenes) events. This study describes methods for identifying gene conversion candidates from predicted pseudogenes. Pseudogenes may accumulate and harbor sequence variations over time that
