Abstract

This article presents a generalization of the iterative multiregion technique applied in solving the nonhomogeneous wave equation. A formal proof that this procedure converges independently of the numerical method applied to each sub‐domain and an error estimate are presented by applying the iterative method directly on the electromagnetic governing equations. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
