pp [741][742][743][744] The use of hypermedia technology is expected to give better results than conventional methods for training process-automation personnel. This paper gives an introduction to a COMETT II project at the University of Ouhi, the Techaische Uuiversitit Berlin, Universidade de Coimla~ POH'I~, and industrial partners in Finland. The project is concerned with building training materials for process automation, to be used in university courses and the continuing education of people from industry. The main part of the material is built utilizing commercial hypertext software, to which supporting materials like pictures, photos and video tapes are connected. The materials can be used as a lecturer support, or for self-learning.
