✦ Synopsis
This is the second and hnal part of the study of the abelian Higgs model in a covariant gauge in the functional Schrodinger formalism. The broken vacuum and the one-particle states are investigated analytically and the crucial role played by the field vacuum expectation value in the implementation of the Higgs phenomenon is made clear.
