✦ Synopsis

models for the efficient simulation of discrete crack closure, and fracture mechanics based model for crack propagation, both under transient dynamic conditions, are developed. Following simple validation problems, those two models are integrated into an interactive graphics program which was used to analyse Koyna dam.
