Using differential scanning calorimetry the thermotropic behaviour of the acidic phospholipid dipalmitoylphosphatidylglycerol (DPPG) was studied as a function of pH, concentration of NaCI and the concentration of organic polyvalent cations, polyamines. Although changes in hydration forces and hydrop
