✦ Synopsis
A bare CR°39 detector exposed to fast neutrons, when processed by electrochemical etching, fails to provide a flat dose-equivalent response.
The paper describes an experimental approach to tailoring the response of CR-39 by using hydrogenous front-radiators so that energy-dependent track densities are formed on the post-etch surface.
A reasonable amount of success is reported in the quest for tailoring the dose-equivalent response of the detector.
