β¦ Synopsis
Overview: This is Jem A. Jones and I want to thank you for visiting my author page. I was born in 1969 and I live near Charlotte, North Carolina. I was 7 years old when the original Star Wars movie came out in theaters and it had such a creative impact on my life. With numerous action figures, I played and made up stories as a kid. But instead of playing out scenes and characters from the movie, I made up my own world with the action figures and created my own stories. As a teenager, I started writing those stories down. So I guess you could say I've been writing for about 33 years now. It took decades for me to develop my writing and become confident enough to share it with anyone, much less offer it to the world on Amazon. There is a drive to write and create stories that runs deep for me. It's not an addiction or obsession, because it requires a lot of work. No, it's more of a need to dip into the world of ideas and thoughts and express them onto the page to get them out. My career in law enforcement has been interesting and my experiences on the job have left me more jaded on humanity than idealistic. Perhaps that is why I retreat when I write and crave to tell stories that are a little strange or weird. I love weird, supernatural stories because reality is often too dark to dwell on in my free time. I see it enough in my job. It would be too much to handle without the escape of writing. Sorry, didn't mean to end on a downer.
