✦ Synopsis

In this paper we give a ®nite element method and its error estimate for evaluating double integrals over a smooth domain. The results are used to compare rates of ¯ow of a viscous incompressible ¯uid in a pipe-inpipe system with dierent doubly connected cross-sections. These numerical results con®rm an earlier conjecture regarding the rates of ¯ow.
