Abstract
Synergy is a frequently used word that's not so easy to define. It's more than two or more people or ideas getting along; it's when some particular combination equals more than the sum of the partsโfor example, when 1 + 1 = 3 ( or even more). This article describes how the principles of lean manufacturing on the one hand and timeโdriven activityโbased costing on the other can combine to create synergy in organizations. ยฉ 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

## Abstract Most established NMR thermometers rely on temperatureโdependent chemical shift differences measured from samples that are either neat or concentrated solutions (e.g. ethylene glycol, methanol). These are unsuitable for modern cryoprobes on account of strong radiation damping resulting f
Control over the combustion fluid dynamics was used to minimize the emission of NO x and CO. The combustion kinetics were controlled by operating the combustor premixed and were varied by modifying the equivalence ratio over the lean stability envelope. We discuss a method to determine temperature in a static NMR experiment from the temperature variation of the lead nitrate peak shift.
