Counter-immunoelectrophoresis and indirect immunofluorescence tests were used in a fatal case of craniofacial mucormycosis. The indirect immunofluorescent test was rapid and more sensitive than counter-immunoelectrophoresis and provided estimation of serum antifungal antibodies (IgA, IgG and IgM).
