Steady state β€’aminar β€’uid β€’ow thrβ€’ugh dβ€’ub1β€’ vascular cβ€’nstrictiβ€’ns was studied numerica1β€’y. A false transient mβ€’dβ€’β€’

was proposed and used with a mesh transformation technique for the modelled double vascular constrictions. The numerical model was used to study the streamlines, velocity and vorticity distributions as the flow passes through double constrictions in a vascular tube. For double vascular constrictions of spacing ratio S/D = 1, 2, 3 and cc with a 50% diameter constriction, a Reynolds number range of 5 to 200 was studied. Comparisons were also made with the available data from other investigators.
