Abstract

1,5‐Benzodiazepin‐2‐yl‐phosphonates were facilely synthesized via a one‐pot three‐component condensation of o‐diaminobenzene, 1,3‐diketone and diethyl phosphite in the presence of a catalytic amount of ytterbium chloride under mild reaction conditions. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
