✦ Synopsis
The internal mobilities of the molten binary systems (Ml, M2,,)NO, (Ml=Li' and Na', M2=CaS, S?' and Bar') have been obtained by countercurrent electromigration and electric conductivity measurement. Available data on the electrical conductivities have also been employed. The internal mobilities including also those previously obtained for Ml=K' by us have been discussed. The tranquillisation effect on the internal mobilities of the alkali ions by the alkaline earth ions is clearly observed. The internal mobilities in these systems are well interpreted in terms of the dynamic dissociation model so far presented for monovalent cation mixtures. Dedicated to Professor J. Barthel on the occasion of his 68th birthday.
