Your article on the mineral trona occurring among the concrete deterioration products has come to our knowledge with a considerable delay, though it is of much concern because it confirms the results of our own work and experience.

As early as 1974 at the 6th Meeting of the Yugoslav cement and asbestos cement producers at Portoro~ (October) (1) and at the Symposium on ornamental and technical stones of the Yugoslav Committee for surface working held in 0patija (November) (2) we reported the occurrence of trona, thermonatrite and crystallized soda in concrete which served to embed and connect stone plates.
