The authors (1) have undertaken a very useful study in examining the carbonation of synthetic ettringite in 5 vol. % CO 2 gas at 25°C and 95% relative humidity in a moist CO 2 incubator at water/solid ratios 0-3.5 by measuring the kinetics of carbonation and the chemical and morphological changes in the ettringite.
