## Abstract Some dynamic contact problems with friction can be formulated as an implicit variational inequality. A time discretization of such an inequality is given here, thus giving rise to a soβcalled incremental solution. The convergence of the incremental solution is established, and then the

β¦ Synopsis
We present a set of difference equations which represents the discrete counterpart of a large class of continuous model concerning the dynamics of an infection in an organism or in a host population. The limiting behavior of the discrete model is studied and a threshold parameter playing the role of the basic reproduction number is derived.

A low-gain design for linear discrete-time systems subject to input saturation was recently developed to solve both semi-global stabilization and semi-global output regulation problems. This paper proposes an improvement to the low-gain design and determines controllers with the new design that achi
