✦ Synopsis

By an ideally rational person we shall understand an individual who satisfies the rationality conditions imposed on degrees of belief by subjective Bayesians. We let X be our token ideally rational person; C(A) is her degree of belief, her credence, in the proposition A. As X is ideally rational her degrees of belief conform to the axioms of the probability calculus.
