✦ Synopsis
This paper presents a study of a photonic parabolic reflector. The structure is exclusi¨ely composed of dielectric materials which ( ) are associated to build a photonic bandgap PBG structure with a forbidden frequency band located at the working frequency of the reflector. The dish was designed with FDTD computations using a surfaceimpedance formalism. The directi¨ity of an experimental de¨ice has been measured and compared to the directi¨ity calculated with the FDTD simulations.
