โฆ Synopsis
Birmingham, 1968. A Chief Superintendent dying of cancer asks Detective Sergeant Collins and Detective Constable Clark to investigate a possible case of corruption in the City Council. Very quickly they find themselves involved with bent councillors, shady builders โ and the IRA.
As the body count mounts, Collins and Clark realise if they cannot stop the IRA from gaining a foothold in Birmingham's building trade, the city could become a very dangerous place in which to live. For two coppers who have crossed swords with Declan Boyle, the IRA's former Quartermaster, this is especially true, as events race to an explosive climax.
This is the fourth in the Collins & Clark series, recounting the exploits of two of Birmingham's most unusual policemen in the 1960s.
