โฆ Synopsis
The stresses and displacements near the end of a crack situated at the interface of an elastic half-plane bonded to a rigid body under uniform tension at infinity are analysed. The solution is obtained by the Fourier transforms and in the form of a tri-gonometrical series. Because of forming a process zone with the smoothly closed crack opening shape and the finite stress concentration at the crack tip, the solution shows that there are neither the oscillations nor the small contact zone.
