β¦ Synopsis
To fix toxic heavy-metal ions, plants synthesize the ligands (Ξ³-Glu-Cys) -Gly (PC ), whose simplest representative is the pentapeptide PC . The knowledge of the composition and stabilities of the cadmium complexes of PC allow a better understanding of biological processes like the one outlined.

By complementation screening of a cadmium-sensitive Schizosaccharomyces pombe mutant deficient in phytochelatin synthesis, but with 44% of the wild-type glutathione content, we cloned a DNA fragment involved in phytochelatin synthesis. Sequence analysis revealed that it encodes the second enzyme inv
## Abstract In this article, we introduce a type of basis functions to approximate a set of scattered data. Each of the basis functions is in the form of a truncated series over some orthogonal system of eigenfunctions. In particular, the trigonometric eigenfunctions are used. We test our basis fun
## Abstract The ADAGIO study demonstrated a symptomatic benefit for rasagiline in early Parkinson's disease (PD) and suggested a diseaseβmodifying effect. Evidence indicates that mitochondrial dysfunction plays a role in the pathogenesis of PD and that this may be the site of effect for rasagiline.
