✦ Synopsis
We present a method of determining the dynamic response of railway tracks submitted to a vertical excitation moving along the rail. The response is described by means of the point deflection of the rail. This deflection is obtained by a convolution integral. The convolution kernel is the impulse response of the track, which depends on time and the excitation location. This approach solves complex theoretical models where it is difficult to find an analytical solution.
