Abstract
1,1,1‐Trifluoroalkane‐2,3‐dione 3‐oximes 1 easily obtainable from aldehyde dimethylhydrazones were reacted with several aldehydes and ketones in the presence of acetic acid to afford 4‐trifluoromethyl‐4__H__‐[1,5,2]dioxadines 3 in satisfactory yields. When the reaction was carried out in the presence of ammonium acetate, 4‐trifluoromethyl‐6__H__‐[1,2,5]oxadiazines were obtained in good yields.
