Abstract

A series of 2‐(1__H__‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐yl)‐2__H__‐1,4‐benzothiazines were designed and synthesized by condensation of 1,2,4‐triazole‐substituted ω‐bromoacetophenones and o‐aminothiophenols with the aid of K~2~CO~3~ under mild conditions with moderate to high yields. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
