โฆ Synopsis
Abatmct-A new continuum damage mechanics-based model is proposed to describe cyclic creep behavior of selected engineering materials under complicated loading conditions. The loading conditions involve both load holding time and load dwell time. Besides the damage parameter used by most continuum damage mechanics-based models, another state variable, the internal stress, is used to describe the microstructural changes of the materials due to creep deformation. The effect of load cycling process, the effect of load dwell time and the interaction between creep and low cycle fatigue are accounted for in evaluating the material deterioration by creep evolution and damage development. Finite element analysis results are compared with experimental results, and good correlations between them are found.
