β¦ Synopsis
Closed form pseudo-static solutions are constructed for the Kirchhoff bending stress fields associated with a semi-infinite crack extending at a uniform velocity in an infinite Mastic plate. The loadings are imposed by uniform bending or twisting moments at points far from the crack line.

A quasi-three-dimensional analysis for a through crack in an elastic plate subjected to in-plane shear loading is conducted. The analysis shows that the quasi-three-dimensional crack tip stress fields are composed of a plane strain Mode II singular field and an antiplane Mode III singular field. The
The bending of a rectangular, elastic plate containing a central, through crack is analyzed. Results are obtained numerically via a finite element analysis based on the assumptions of Mindlin sixth order plate theory. A special feature of the analysis is the modeling of crack face interference, or c
