✦ Synopsis
In Geneva the introduction of a computer into the classrooms of pupils of age 10-12 is planned by the political educational authority to take place from 1985 to 1991. The method used is 'controlled innovation'. A staff of researchers and teachers develop software corresponding to the needs of the classes involved in the project. The pupils use CAI, wordprocessing and Logo.
In the first phase of the experiment, all teachers are involved in the research. They discover and learn about the use of the computer with their pupils. Later, each teacher can develop his own skills, corresponding to his main interests, in voluntary courses adapted to his specific requests.
