✦ Synopsis
Abatraet-The statistical scatter in fracture toughness of high strength materials obtained from the existing empirical correlations is compared with the scatter observed in the nominally identical fracture toughness tests. It is found that the correlation of fracture toughness with Charpy V-notch impact energy will be more useful for all practical purposes.
