✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A dual‐band dual‐polarized antenna suitable for operation in telecommunication base stations is presented. One of the bands covers the GSM band, while the other covers both the DCS and UMTS bands. The design is compact and yields good radiation characteristics, with excellent isolation between polarizations and bands. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract A novel dual‐band single‐layer patch antenna that covers the bands of 890–960 MHz for GSM and 1710–1880 MHz for DCS, with VSWR ⩽ 2:1, is presented. This antenna consists of a ground plane, air spacing (without dielectric substrate), and a metal patch layer printed on a thin substrate wi
## Abstract This paper presents a concept of a dual‐band dual‐port microstrip base station antenna for mobile telecommunication systems. The main part of the paper describes considerations on the antenna array configuration as well as antenna pattern synthesis. As an application example, a model of
## Abstract A new integrated structure of a two‐element microstrip patch antenna with two feeds for DCS/GPS dual‐band operations is proposed. The radiating element for DCS (1710–1880 MHz) operation is a broadband low‐profile cylindrical monopole top loaded with a shorted square patch, which gives a
## Abstract An aperture‐coupled patch antenna with a cross slot for compact dual‐polarized operation in the 1800 MHz band (1710–1880 MHz) suitable for applications in a personal communication system (PCS) is presented. For operation in the 1800 MHz band, the proposed antenna has a square patch of d
## Abstract In this paper, we present a compact dual‐band dual‐polarized aperture‐coupled patch antenna for 1800/5800 MHz DCS/WLAN applications. With properly designed feeding network and patch dimensions, the antenna can provide a pair of orthogonal linear polarization states for dual bands operat
