## Abstract An extremely acidic mine drainage (AMD) water sample was collected in 1998 and 2008 from Panandhro lignite mine, Gujarat, India. The yeast isolated from this sample was identified using __mini__ API identification system, as a member of genus __Candida.__ The major cellular fatty acids
