Overview: First and foremost Steve Vernon is a storyteller. He's written traditional folklore collections such as Halifax Haunts and Haunted Harbours for Nova Scotia press Nimbus Publishing. Steve has been published over 60 short horror stories which can be found in the pages of Cemetery Dance and Tor's Year's Best Horror; his first YA novel, Sinking Deeper is described as a touching tale of sea monsters and caber tossing. He has released fifteen e-books โ including a dark superhero collection entitled Nothing to Lose and a full length novel of scarecrow horror entitled Tatterdemon.
