Kate’s rising blood pressure is bad news. With the challenges she’s facing, it’s no wonder her blood’s been close to boiling. When her doctor gives her marching orders to jumpstart healthier habits, she joins a social-walking group hoping it fuels her motivation. Unfortunately, things aren’t quite the cakewalk she intended.

What starts out as a fun, social group, soon turns into a gossiping, backstabbing, competitive mess that’s walking a thin line between trouble and more trouble. Clearly her intentions were misunderstood.

When a dead body turns up on their regular trail, the police get involved. Kate’s ready to walk off the job as the new walk-club coordinator. Trying to learn more from the group is like herding cats while walking blindly across eggshells. She thought she was helping, but when the police tell Kate to take a hike or get arrested for interfering, all bets are off.

With secrets spilling out faster than an overflowing river on a sandy bank, can Kate and her companions figure out who stepped out of bounds and did the dirty deed? Or will her good intentions get steamrolled like a flattened penny on a newly paved road?
