Our conclusion is that the ground down 116 g2 Mien-Bradley resistor behaves like pure graphite in the range 0.7-4.2 K. There is a possibility that for some production series the heat capacity is higher, owing to magnetic impurities. However, the amount of these impurities should be very high 7 to produce noticeable effects above 1 K. Therefore, we can point out a good way to estimate heat capacities of ground down carbon thermometers by assuming them to be pure graphite.
